Norwegian Salmon Tartare with Capers

Norwegian salmon tartare is a snack that serves as an alternative to beef tartare. Paired with bold-flavored capers, quail eggs, and black caviar, it makes for an elegant appetizer.


  • Salmon fillet 200g
  • Smoked salmon 200g
  • Shallot 4 pieces
  • Whole capers 10g
  • Lemon juice 1/2 lemon
  • Olive oil 4 tablespoons
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • Quail eggs 6 pieces
  • Caviar 12 teaspoons
  • Arugula 1 bunch


  1. Finely chop the salmon fillets into small cubes, add chopped shallots, capers, lemon juice, and olive oil. Mix thoroughly, season to taste with salt and pepper, then refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  2. Serve the prepared tartare with arugula, white baguette, and halved quail eggs with caviar.
