  • 1 avocado ($1.50)
  • 2 tablespoons agave (or date paste, $0.20)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice ($0.20)
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle seasoning ($0.05)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives ($0.10)
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)

Method of preparation:

Prepare the avocado: Cut the avocado in half and remove the seed. Scoop out the flesh and place in a mixing bowl.

Mix the flavours: Add the agave or date paste, lime juice and chipotle seasoning to the avocado. Mash the ingredients until well combined but still chunky.

Season to taste: Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix gently.

Garnish: Sprinkle with chopped chives for a fresh, herby flavour.
