An excellent breakfast snack. With this, your day will instantly get better.
Ingredients
- Puff pastry: 1 package
- Chicken breast fillet: 1 piece
- Broccoli: 1 piece
- Cheddar cheese: 100 grams
- Parsley: 1 bunch
- Egg: 1
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper
- Oil for frying
Preparation
- Spread the pastry on a baking sheet (on parchment paper or the paper it was wrapped in – though it tends to burn a bit!).
- Cut the broccoli into small florets and boil in lightly salted water for about 5 minutes.
- Dice the chicken breast (or cut into strips as desired) and fry in oil. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Spread ketchup on the center of the pastry (a strip about 1/3 of the pastry width). Place broccoli and chicken on this strip and sprinkle with ground black pepper.
- Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top – as much as you like 😀 Then sprinkle with chopped parsley.
- Cut the sides of the pastry into strips and fold them alternately over the filling to create an attractive braid 🙂
- Beat the egg with a fork and brush the top of our braid with it.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius for about 15-17 minutes.
