Clafoutis is a very popular dish in France. It is incredibly quick to prepare and very simple. French mothers often prepare clafoutis as a dessert for their children, but there’s nothing stopping you from serving such a sweet dish for breakfast.

  • Peaches, 400 g
  • Raspberries, 200 g
  • All-purpose flour, 1 cup
  • Sugar, 1/2 cup
  • Whole milk (3.2%), 1 and 1/2 cups
  • Large eggs, 3 pieces
  • Lemon zest sugar for cakes and desserts, 1 teaspoon
  • Baking soda, 1 teaspoon

  • Powdered sugar for dusting

  1. Cut the peaches and place them in a bowl along with the raspberries. Add half of the sugar, mix, and set aside.
  2. Beat the eggs with the remaining sugar until homogeneous. Add the flour, baking soda, lemon zest sugar, and milk, and mix until combined.
  3. Transfer some of the fruits to a buttered baking dish and pour the prepared egg mixture over them. Decorate with the remaining fruits.
  4. Place in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 40 minutes.

Before serving, it’s worth dusting the clafoutis with powdered sugar.
