English Almond Cake

Try this recipe for English cake with a touch of amaretto liqueur.


  • Flour: 200 grams
  • Ground almonds: 200 grams
  • Butter: 200 grams
  • Powdered sugar: 200 grams
  • Egg: 1
  • Chopped almonds: to taste
  • Coarse sugar: to taste
  • Amaretto liqueur


  1. Mix all ingredients (except chopped almonds and coarse sugar) to form dough; wrap in foil and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Grease a baking tin with butter and fill it with the dough.
  3. Sprinkle with chopped almonds and coarse sugar (or regular sugar).
  4. Bake at 200 degrees Celsius for about 30-40 minutes.
