Non-traditional and tasty beer snack? Delicious onion rings coated in beer batter and fried to crispiness!
Ingredients
- Onion – 1 piece
- Light beer – 300 ml
- Ketchup – 2 tablespoons
- All-purpose flour – 150 g
- Sunflower oil – 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper – a pinch
Preparation
Gradually add beer to the flour, stirring until the batter is smooth, then season with salt and pepper. Set aside in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Peel and slice the onion into 1 cm thick rings, separating them into individual rings. Arrange on a plate and place in the refrigerator.
Pour the breadcrumbs onto a plate and add salt. Pour oil into a frying pan or pot to a depth of 2-3 cm. Heat until bubbles form when a wooden spoon is inserted.
Coat onion rings in flour, dip in batter, drain, and then place in the hot oil. Fry for about 4 minutes, turning occasionally. Drain excess oil on paper towels and season with salt. Serve with ketchup or tomato sauce according to preference.
