Beef Patties with Feta

Beef Patties with Feta

Greek meatballs are a Mediterranean take on ground beef patties. Feta and spices guarantee a unique taste.

Ingredients

  • Clove of garlic – 1 piece
  • Egg – 1 piece
  • Onion – 1 piece
  • Dried oregano – 1 teaspoon
  • Minced beef – 500 g
  • Fresh mint – 2 g
  • Breadcrumbs – 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper – 1 pinch
  • Feta cheese – 70 g
  • Salt – 1 pinch

Preparation

Finely chop the onion and garlic. Tear off and chop the mint leaves. Mix everything with minced meat, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add breadcrumbs if needed.

Drain the feta and cut it into 4 slices. Divide the meat into 8 portions and shape them into flat, oval patties. Place 1 slice of feta on each of 4 patties, cover with the remaining patties, sealing the edges well, and then gently flatten them.

Brush the patties with olive oil and grill them on an aluminum tray or directly on the grill grate, over a hot grill, for about 8 minutes on each side.
