Skewers of Mushroom and Chicken with Rice

  • White rice – 100 g
  • Chicken breast – 1 piece
  • Mushroom – 140 g
  • Onion – 1 piece
  • Red bell pepper – 1 piece
  • Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Chicken seasoning – 3 teaspoons


  • Dijon mustard – 1 tablespoon
  • Honey – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Black pepper – 2 pinches


Dice the chicken and bell pepper into cubes about 2×2 cm. If the mushrooms are large, cut them in half, and separate the layers of the onion. Set aside the prepared ingredients.

Coat the chicken with chicken seasoning, salt, and pepper. Thread the chicken, mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper alternately onto skewers. Drizzle the skewers with olive oil. Grill the skewers on a barbecue or grill pan for about 10-15 minutes, turning frequently until the chicken is well cooked and the mushrooms are tender.

Mix mustard with honey, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Serve the mushroom and chicken skewers with rice and mustard sauce.
