Ingredients

- Baguette – 0.5 piece
- Lemon – 1 piece
- Black pepper – a pinch
- Parsley – 1 tablespoon
- Iceberg lettuce – 2 leaves
Adriatic Style Snack Plate:
- Cheese-filled burek – 2 pieces
- Low-fat cottage cheese – 150 g
- Ajvar – 2 tablespoons
- Wheat flour – 4 tablespoons
- Dalmatian ham – 200 g
- Fresh sardines, whole – 500 g
Preparation
Step 1: Fry the Sardines Thaw, clean, wash, and pat dry the sardines with paper towels. Coat the fish in flour, then fry in a pan with hot oil. After frying, drain excess oil on paper towels.
Step 2: Serve the Sardines with Accompaniments Cut the baguette into smaller pieces and fry on both sides in a pan until golden brown. Serve the sardines on a plate with slices of Dalmatian ham, lettuce leaves, toasted baguette, and lemon cut into quarters. Garnish with parsley and sprinkle generously with freshly ground black pepper. Mix the cottage cheese with ajvar in a small bowl. Serve the cheese-filled bureks on a separate plate.
