Stuffed Ciabatta

Delicious and filling warm sandwiches, served with tomato and bell pepper paste and delicate ground turkey.

  • Red chili pepper – 1 piece
  • Onion – 0.5 piece
  • Green bell pepper – 0.5 piece
  • Ciabatta bread – 4 pieces
  • Canned red kidney beans – 150 g
  • Garlic clove – 0.5 piece
  • Tomato paste – 1 tablespoon
  • Ground turkey meat – 250 g
  • Oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper – a pinch
  • Canned diced tomatoes – 400 g
  • Cheddar cheese – 50 g
  • Salt – a pinch

Heat a little oil in a pan. Sauté chopped onion, garlic, and red chili pepper until golden brown. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned. Then add finely diced bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add canned tomatoes and tomato paste to the meat. Mix well. Once the tomatoes are warm, add the red kidney beans and cook until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cut off the top of each ciabatta, creating a V-shaped indentation. Fill each ciabatta with the stuffing. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle grated cheese over the top.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes (until the cheese melts).
