Shish Kebab with Minced Meat

Inspired by Greek cuisine, delicious shish kebabs made from minced beef are a great idea for dinner! Especially if you serve them with pita bread, fresh vegetables, and ajvar.

Ingredients

  • Minced beef – 600 g
  • Onion – 1 piece
  • Parsley – 1 handful
  • Egg – 1 piece
  • Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Salt – 2 pinches
  • Black pepper – 1 pinch
  • Sweet paprika – 2 pinches
  • Pita bread – 4 pieces
  • Cucumber – 0.5 piece
  • Cherry tomatoes – 8 pieces
  • Mixed salad – 1 handful
  • Ajvar – 200 g

Preparation

Step 1: Fry the Kebabs Finely chop the onion and parsley and mix them with minced meat, egg, and spices. Then form 8 oval-shaped meatballs of similar size from the meat. Thread each of them onto a skewer. Heat the olive oil over medium heat and fry the kebabs on it from each side.

Step 2: Prepare the Side Dishes Slice the cucumber and cut the cherry tomatoes into quarters. Heat the pita bread according to the instructions on the package.

Step 3: Serve the Kebabs Place the pita bread on plates, spread a little ajvar on them, and arrange lettuce, cucumber slices, and tomato pieces on top. Place 2 kebabs on each of the pita breads.
