Macaroni in soy sauce

Macaroni in soy sauce with crispy vegetables and chicken is an Asian delicacy you must try.


  • Spring onion – 2 pieces
  • Soy sauce – 6 tablespoons
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon – 2 pieces
  • Garlic clove – 2 pieces
  • Egg – 2 pieces
  • Pak choi – 2 pieces
  • Chow mein noodles – 200 g
  • Cornstarch – a pinch
  • Oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Red chili pepper – 1 piece
  • Black pepper – a pinch
  • Chicken breast fillets – 200 g
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Shiitake mushrooms – 8 g


Slice the chicken breast. Marinate in a bit of soy sauce, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the package.

Soak the mushrooms, then slice them into strips. Slice the spring onion into strips, finely chop the garlic and chives. Cut the pak choi into larger pieces.

Briefly fry the chicken in a hot pan and set aside. In the same pan, fry the spring onion, mushrooms, and garlic. Add eggs and pour in soy sauce mixed with a pinch of cornstarch. Mix and add the cooked noodles. Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Add pak choi and chopped chili pepper. Finally, add the fried chicken before serving. Garnish with chopped chives.
