The tender flesh of trout, served whole and infused with the delightful aroma of fresh basil, makes for a perfect healthy grilled dish.
Ingredients
- Fresh fillet of rainbow trout – 3 pieces
- Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper – a pinch
- Lime juice – 10 ml
- Salt – a pinch
- Fresh basil – 24 g
Preparation
Scale and gut the trouts. After preparing, wash and dry the fish, drizzle with lime juice, and season with salt and pepper. Brush the fish with olive oil. Gently score the skin across the fish. Fill the cuts in the skin with basil leaves.
Place two sprigs of basil inside each fish. Grill the fish in a grill basket for 10 minutes on each side.
