Grilled Chicken Skewers

Discover how juicy chicken skewers can be. It’s all thanks to lemons and a marinade with white wine.



  • shallots: 20 pieces
  • lemon: 3 pieces
  • chicken breast fillets: 3 pieces

White Wine Marinade

  • white wine: 6 tablespoons
  • garlic cloves: 3 pieces
  • fresh coriander: 2 tablespoons
  • olive oil: 4 tablespoons
  • black pepper: a pinch
  • lemon juice: 25 ml
  • salt: a pinch
  • bay leaf: 1 piece

Note: Soak skewers in cold water for at least an hour before using.


Wash and dry the chicken breasts, then cut them into large cubes (approximately 3 x 3 cm).

Finely chop the garlic cloves and coriander leaves. Mix all marinade ingredients thoroughly. Pour the marinade over the chicken pieces and let them marinate in a cool place for 30 minutes.

Do not peel the shallots. Wash the lemon thoroughly, scald it, and cut it into wedges. Thread the lemon wedges, chicken pieces, and shallots onto the soaked skewers alternately.

Grill for 5 minutes on each side.
