Grilled Chicken Drumsticks in Honey and Spices

Grilled chicken drumsticks in a sweet glaze made of honey and aromatic spices. A tasty idea for lunch or dinner from the grill.


  • Chicken drumsticks, 4 pieces


  • Sesame oil, 2 tablespoons
  • White wine vinegar, 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce, 3 tablespoons
  • Honey, 2 tablespoons
  • Grated ginger, 2 tablespoons
  • Chopped rosemary, 1.5 tablespoons
  • Sugar, 2 tablespoons
  • Whiskey mustard, 1 tablespoon
  • Sea salt with pepper, to taste


Marinade Preparation:

  1. Combine all marinade ingredients.
  2. Stir until all sugar is dissolved.

Chicken Preparation:

  1. Score the chicken drumsticks on both sides.
  2. Place the meat in a glass or plastic container and coat with marinade.
  3. Cover the container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.


  1. Grill the drumsticks on an oiled grate – for 15 minutes on each side, until the skin is golden and crispy, and the juice leaking from the meat is clear.
  2. During grilling, brush them with the marinade, which you previously heated up.
