Grill Sandwiches with Pork Loin and Asparagus

Exceptional sandwiches with grilled asparagus, delicious roasted pork loin, and melting cheese. A great combination for a barbecue or dinner on a cooler summer evening.


  • Rye bread – 4 slices
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • Roasted pork loin – 100 g
  • Cheddar cheese – 8 slices
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Green asparagus – 150 g


Step 1: Grill the Asparagus Snap off and discard the woody ends of the asparagus. Rub the prepared vegetables with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and place them side by side on a grill pan. Grill the asparagus for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with salt towards the end of grilling.

Step 2: Prepare the Sandwiches Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the bread slices. On 2 slices of bread, layer 2 slices of cheese, grilled asparagus, slices of roasted pork loin, and another 2 slices of cheese. Cover the sandwich ingredients with the remaining slices of bread. Grill the sandwiches for about 4 minutes on each side on a grill pan or on the grate of a preheated grill.
