Green Beans with Cranberry-Herbed Butter

A fantastic addition to main courses – green beans with delicious butter infused with cranberries, chives, and lemon zest.


  • Frozen green beans: 400 g
  • Butter: 120 g
  • Dried cranberries: 2 tablespoons
  • Chives: 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon: 1
  • Pine nuts: 2 tablespoons
  • Salt: 2 pinches
  • Black pepper: 2 pinches


Step 1: Prepare the Butter Finely chop the cranberries and chives, and grate the lemon zest. Add them to softened butter, season with salt and pepper, and mix well.

Step 2: Shape the Butter Transfer the butter onto plastic wrap – spread it evenly across the width of the wrap and shape it into a roll. Place it in the freezer.

Step 3: Cook the Green Beans Cook the green beans in salted water. Drain and arrange them on a plate. Serve with slices of cranberry-herbed butter and sprinkle with pine nuts.
