Wonton Stars Starter

Making these Wonton Stars can be a fun and rewarding experience. It’s a chance to enjoy the process of cooking and see the delicious result of your efforts. Feel free to experiment with the filling. You can add different types of cheese, meat or vegetables to suit your taste.


  • 24 Wonton wrappers
  • 1lb of sausage, browned, well drained and crumbled
  • 1/2 green bell pepper (or large red, finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms (sauteed and chopped)
  • 3 cups grated Colby Jack cheese
  • 1 cup ranch dressing

Method of preparation:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly press wonton wrappers into the bottoms and sides of greased mini muffin cups. Bake until the edges are browned, about 5 minutes.

In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink and crumbled; drain. Stir in cheese, peppers, onions and salad dressing.

Spoon a rounded tablespoon of sausage mixture into each wonton cup.

Bake the wontons: Bake until heated through, 6-7 minutes.
