Ingredients
Meat Filling:
- 400 g ground beef
- 1 tablespoon rapeseed oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 clove garlic
- 0.5 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 0.5 teaspoon cumin
- 0.3 teaspoon hot paprika
- 0.5 teaspoon water
- Salt
- Black pepper
Onion Mix:
- 1 onion
- 0.5 bunch parsley
- 1 handful fresh mint
- 1 pinch salt
Additional:
- 4 tortillas
- 2 red tomatoes
Preparation
Step 1: Prepare the Onion Mix Peel and slice the onion into thin rings, sprinkle with salt, and add finely chopped parsley and mint. Gently massage the mixture with your hands to soften the onion.
Step 2: Prepare the Meat Heat oil and butter in a skillet. Fry the meat on the hot fat until browned. Then add the crushed garlic and spices. Fry, stirring, for about 1 minute. Then pour water over the meat. Mix everything.
Step 3: Heat the Tortillas Place tortillas on top of the simmering meat. Gently press them down to soften from the steam and absorb the flavor. Repeat the process for the remaining three tortillas.
Step 4: Prepare the Tantuni Wraps Dice the tomatoes. Place each tortilla on a plate with the soaked side facing up. Then spread the meat on them, forming a thin line. On top, add diced tomatoes (which can be seasoned with salt to taste) and onion mix. Roll up everything into a roll and cut in half. Serve immediately.
Tip! Instead of tortillas, you can wrap the meat filling and vegetables in lavash or other flatbread-like bread.
