Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

These stuffed mushrooms are great as an appetizer for a dinner party, a side dish for a family meal, or even as a snack for a game night. Despite their simplicity, these stuffed mushrooms have an elegant look that’s sure to impress your guests. Feel free to experiment with the recipe by adding other ingredients like herbs, different types of cheese, or even other types of meat.

Ingredients:

½ pound ground pork sausage

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 (8 ounce) package fresh mushrooms, stems removed

Method of preparation:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground pork sausage until it’s browned and crumbled. Drain off any excess fat.

In a bowl, mix the cooked sausage with the softened cream cheese until well combined.

Arrange the mushroom caps on a baking sheet with the stem side facing up.

Spoon the sausage and cream cheese mixture into each mushroom cap.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is heated through.
