Ingredients

  • Raw white sausage – 1000g
  • Mushrooms – 250g
  • White onions – 4
  • Oil – 20ml
  • Butter – 15g
  • Honey – 10g
  • Dried marjoram – 5g
  • Salt – 4g
  • Black pepper – 3g
  • Whole allspice – 4 grains

Preparation

Peel and slice the onions into rings or strips. Place the mushrooms in a colander and wash them thoroughly to remove any dirt. Set aside the clean mushrooms to drain excess water. Melt the butter with oil in a pan. Once the fat is hot, add the onions. Sauté until the onions become translucent.

Slice the mushrooms and add them to the pan with the onions. Mix well and allow them to cook until some of the moisture evaporates. Season the mushrooms and onions with a pinch of salt, black pepper, dried marjoram, whole allspice, and honey. Mix well. Let them sauté for another 3 minutes.

In a large ovenproof dish, arrange the white sausage, then cover it with a layer of mushrooms and onions. Gently mix everything. Cover the dish with a lid and place it in the oven. Bake for about an hour.

After the designated time, remove the lid from the dish, stir, and continue baking uncovered for 30 minutes. The sausage should brown, and all the ingredients should caramelize nicely during this time.
