Cranberry and tangerine preserve

Cranberry and tangerine preserve

A fusion of cranberries, tangerines, apples, and aromatic spices creates a sweet and tangy preserve, perfect for spreading on sandwiches or as an accompaniment to meats or warm beverages.

Ingredients

  • Cranberries: 500 g
  • Green apples: 2
  • Tangerines: 10
  • Honey: 1 cup
  • Cinnamon: 1 stick

Preparation

Wash the cranberries. Blanch five tangerines, then peel them. Squeeze out the juice and finely chop the peel. Place the cleaned cranberries in a saucepan. Add the tangerine juice and peel, honey, and cinnamon stick. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly, until the cranberries start to burst.

Remove the cinnamon stick. Gently mash the cooking fruits with a potato masher. Add peeled and diced apples and the remaining tangerines cut into segments. Cook for another 10 minutes.

Transfer the preserve into sterilized jars, seal, and turn them upside down. Set aside to cool. Label the jars with a description and dedication.
