Perfect Grilled Fish

Perfect Grilled Fish

Dreaming of cooking the perfect grilled fish? This recipe will help you achieve success!

  • 1 fish, approximately 1/2 kg (such as sea bass, baramundi, dorado, trout), whole or cleaned
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 clove garlic
  • A few sprigs of parsley and/or fresh herbs (e.g., oregano, thyme, rosemary)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Optional Sides:

  • Garlic-herb toast
  • Mixed green salad with vinaigrette

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat. Rinse the fish and pat it dry thoroughly. Make a few cuts on each side of the fish, about 0.5 cm deep.
  2. Season the outside and inside of the fish with salt and pepper. Place 2 lemon slices, half a garlic clove (cut), and sprigs of parsley and/or herbs inside the cavity. Drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Place the fish directly on the preheated grill or in a grill basket that has been brushed with oil from the inside. Grill the fish for 3.5 to 4 minutes on each side. Cooking longer than necessary will dry out the meat.
  4. Serve the grilled fish immediately, squeezing the remaining lemon over it.

Enjoy your perfectly grilled fish with garlic-herb toast and a refreshing salad with vinaigrette on the side!
