Lamb in Mustard Marinade

An idea for dinner: delicate lamb chops prepared in a mustard marinade and cooked on a grill pan.


  • Balsamic vinegar – 2 tablespoons
  • Mustard – 1 teaspoon
  • Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Grated lemon zest – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Shallot – 1 piece
  • Lamb chops – 4 pieces
  • Cayenne pepper – 1 pinch


In a bowl, mix the vinegar, olive oil, lemon zest, mustard, and finely chopped shallot. Season to taste with salt and cayenne pepper.

Place the lamb chops in the marinade and rub them thoroughly. Set aside for 15 minutes.

Heat a grill pan, lightly grease it with oil, and place the chops on it. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side. Remove the pan from the heat and let the meat rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
