  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • ½ green pepper, diced
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 slices white bread, cut into small pieces
  • Cooking spray with olive oil

Method of preparation:

In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, diced onion, diced green pepper, egg, ketchup and sea salt.

Add the torn pieces of white bread to the mixture and mix until evenly distributed.

Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape into patties.

Spray a large frying pan with olive oil and heat over a medium heat.

Place the patties in the pan and cook until well browned on the bottom, about 10 minutes.

Flip the burgers and cook for a further 8 to 10 minutes, until the meat is no longer pink and the juices run clear.
