Indian Turkey Skewers with Curry Yogurt

Tender turkey meat marinated in yogurt with a hint of banana flavor – served together as delicious skewers.

  • Banana – 2 pieces
  • Curry – 2 teaspoons
  • Black pepper – 1 pinch
  • Natural yogurt – 300 g
  • Fresh mint – 2 g
  • Iodized salt – 1 pinch
  • Lime juice – 1 teaspoon
  • Turkey breast – 500 g
  • Garlic clove – 8 pieces

Pluck and chop the mint leaves. Mix yogurt, lime juice, curry, salt, pepper, and mint. Wash the turkey breast, pat dry, and cut into thick cubes. Place the turkey pieces into a freezer bag along with half of the prepared curry yogurt, seal, and coat well with the yogurt marinade. Leave for at least 2-3 hours or overnight in the marinade. Refrigerate the remaining curry yogurt.

Soak 4 long skewers in cold water for 30 minutes. Peel the garlic cloves. Cut the bananas with the skin into slices about 2 cm thick. Thread the turkey pieces onto the skewers alternately with garlic cloves and banana slices. Grill on an aluminum grill tray or directly on a preheated grill for 15 minutes, turning frequently. Serve with the remaining curry yogurt.
