Horseradish Sauce

An intense, slightly spicy horseradish sauce is a perfect culinary addition that enhances the flavor of many dishes in Central and Eastern European cuisine. Horseradish has been known for its health properties for centuries, so it’s no wonder it’s so eagerly used in the kitchen.


  • Horseradish – 1 piece
  • 18% cream – 100 ml
  • Apple cider vinegar – 20 ml
  • Sugar – 15 g
  • Salt – 1 g
  • Black pepper – 0.5 g


Step 1: Prepare the Horseradish Carefully wash the root and peel it. Grate it finely using a grater directly into a bowl.

Step 2: Add the Ingredients To the grated horseradish, add apple cider vinegar, sugar, and spices, then mix everything thoroughly.

Step 3: Add the Cream Gradually add the cream to the mixture, stirring continuously.

Step 4: Transfer to a Jar Transfer the finished sauce to a jar and refrigerate for a few hours to allow the flavors to meld. After a few hours, the perfectly creamy horseradish sauce is ready!
