Grilled pork sandwiches

Experience the delectable flavors of grilled asparagus, savory roasted pork, and melted cheese in these exceptional sandwiches. They’re perfect for a barbecue or a dinner on a cool summer evening.


  • Rye bread – 4 slices
  • Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Roasted pork – 100 g
  • Cheddar cheese – 8 slices
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Green asparagus – 150 g


Snap off and discard the woody ends of the asparagus. Rub the prepared vegetables with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and arrange them side by side on a grill pan. Grill the asparagus for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with salt towards the end of grilling.

Drizzle the slices of bread with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. On 2 slices of bread, layer 2 slices of cheese, grilled asparagus, slices of roasted pork, and another 2 slices of cheese. Cover the sandwich fillings with the remaining bread slices. Grill the sandwiches for about 4 minutes on each side on a grill pan or on the heated grill rack.
