Chocolate Oat Cake

A simple and delicious cake made with oats, dark chocolate, and crunchy nuts.


  • Baking powder, 1 tsp
  • Baking soda, 1 tsp
  • Dark chocolate, 100 g
  • Egg, 3 pcs
  • Brown sugar, 220 g
  • Butter, 120 g
  • Wheat flour (type 450), 80 g
  • Milk, 400 ml
  • Walnut, 150 g
  • Oats, 250 g


Pour boiling milk over the oats and let it sit for 10 minutes to steep.

Add the butter and half of the brown sugar, mix, and let cool.

Beat the eggs with the remaining half of the brown sugar until fluffy. Gradually add the oats mixture. Sift the flour with the baking soda and baking powder, then mix it into the batter. Add 2/3 of the chopped walnuts and the chopped chocolate. Transfer the batter to a 24 cm diameter springform pan. Sprinkle the top of the cake with the remaining walnuts.

Bake at 180°C for 40-50 minutes (without convection). Before removing the cake from the oven, check with a toothpick or skewer to ensure it is baked through (dry in the center).
