Cheesy Bread

A delicious snack for a gathering with friends – fresh bread served warm with gooey cheese and herbs!


  • Country bread – 500 g
  • Butter – 100 g
  • Black pepper – a pinch
  • Emmental cheese – 200 g
  • Sweet paprika powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Chives – 24 g


Slice the loaf of bread into a grid pattern, cutting about 3/4 of the way through.

Cut the butter and cheese into thin strips and insert them between the slices of bread. Season with black pepper, sweet paprika powder, and sprinkle with chopped chives.

Place the bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place it in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for about 10-15 minutes (until the cheese melts).


Serve the bread whole and tear off pieces by hand.
