Caprese baguette

Caprese baguette

Crunchy bread with tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and garlic. So perfect that it disappears right after taking it out of the oven.

  • Fresh basil – 5 g
  • Black pepper – 1 pinch
  • Red tomato – 1
  • Mozzarella – 1
  • Olive oil – 3 tablespoons
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Baguette – 1
  • Garlic clove – 2

Slice the baguette diagonally every 1-2 cm (be careful not to cut all the way through!). Crush and finely chop the garlic. In a small bowl, combine the garlic with olive oil and spread it over the baguette in the sliced areas.

Slice the tomato and drained mozzarella into slices. Finely chop the basil. Place a slice of tomato and cheese, and some basil into each cut. Bake the baguette for 15 minutes at 230°C. Serve warm.
