This baked bread can be prepared in many variations, but it’s worth trying it with pavé du vivarois cheese. It is exceptionally creamy, with a characteristic creamy interior, and pairs perfectly with Jambon d’Auvergne ham.
Ingredient
- Spring Onions – 2 tablespoons
- Country Bread – 500 g
- Olive Oil – 20 ml
- Pave Cheese – 200 g
- Parmesan Ham – 100 g
Preparation
Stuffing the Bread: From the country bread, cut off the top part and hollow out its crumb. Place the whole pavé cheese in the hollowed-out space. Score the cheese on top in a crisscross pattern.
Step 2: Baking the Bread: Place the bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle the whole thing with olive oil.
Bake the bread for about 15-20 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C. Once baked, let the bread cool slightly.
Step 3: Serving the Bread: Before serving, score the sides of the bread. Surround the baked cheese with Jambon d’Auvergne ham cut into smaller pieces. Sprinkle chopped spring onions on top.
