Baked Baguette with Spinach

Baked Baguette with Spinach

Crunchy bread with a golden crust filled with lightly spicy stuffing. Smells beautifully and tastes excellent!

Ingredients

  • Baguette – 1 piece
  • Onion – 1 piece
  • Mozzarella – 1 piece
  • Red chili pepper – 1 piece
  • Cherry tomatoes – 5 pieces
  • Garlic clove – 0.5 piece
  • Ground nutmeg – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper – 1 pinch
  • Salami sausage – 30 g
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Baby Spinach – 300 g

Preparation

If the baguette is too long to fit into your oven, cut it in half. Remove the top part of the baguette and hollow out the inside (if you previously cut the baguette in half, remember to leave some bread inside the cut part to form a wall that will prevent the filling from falling out).

Heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic and chili, sliced onion, sliced salami, and fresh spinach. Sauté everything together until the spinach reduces in volume. Finally, add quartered cherry tomatoes and mix well. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper to taste. Transfer the prepared filling into the hollowed-out baguette.

Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese on top. Place the baguette in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes. When the cheese is golden brown, remove the baguette from the oven, divide into portions, and serve on plates.
