Bacon and Date Appetizers


This snack is quick to prepare and can be found at most parties. Dates and bacon guarantee an unforgettable taste experience.


  • 1 (8 oz) package pitted dates
  • 4 ounces almonds
  • 1 pound sliced bacon

Method of preparation:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with greaseproof paper or aluminium foil for easy clean up.

Using a small knife, make a small slit in each date and remove the pit.

Stuff each date with an almond, then close the date around the almond.

Halve the bacon slices crosswise.

Wrap a half slice of bacon around each stuffed date and secure with a toothpick.

Place the bacon-wrapped dates on the prepared baking tray, seam side down.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until the bacon is crisp and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and transfer the bacon-wrapped dates to a serving platter.

Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
