Asparagus Filo Fingers

Instead of traditional fingers, asparagus sticks wrapped in filo pastry! Prepare a springtime snack and enjoy the season for these wonderful vegetables.


  • Filo pastry – 4 sheets
  • Butter – 4 tablespoons
  • Sweet paprika powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Himalayan salt – 1.5 teaspoons
  • Green asparagus – 500 g


Step 1: Prepare the Filo Pastry Spread melted butter over each sheet of filo pastry. Fold it in half lengthwise and then fold it in half again to create a long rectangle of pastry.

Step 2: Wrap the Asparagus in Filo Pastry Trim the woody ends of the asparagus (they should break naturally at the right point when pressure is applied with your hands). Place a single asparagus spear along the shorter edge of the filo pastry and wrap it around 2-3 times. Trim off any excess pastry.

Repeat this process until all asparagus spears and pastry sheets are used.

Step 3: Bake the Asparagus Arrange the asparagus sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush them with melted butter using a pastry brush. Sprinkle salt and sweet paprika powder over the top.

Bake for about 15 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F).
