A salmon burger served in Finnish oat bread, with a flavorful horseradish sauce and cucumber salad. This is a great recipe for a lighter version of homemade fast food.
Ingredients
Salmon Patty
- Salmon fillet, skinless – 100 g
- Garlic clove – 1 piece
- Parsley – 1 tablespoon
- Red onion – 0.25 piece
- Salt – 1 pinch
- Black pepper – 1 pinch
Horseradish Sauce
- Natural skyr – 1 tablespoon
- Grated horseradish – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – 1 pinch
Cucumber Salad
- Cucumber – 50 g
- Fresh dill – 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – 1 pinch
Presentation
- Sunflower sprouts – 15 g
- Finnish oat bread – 1 piece
- Mixed salad – 1 handful
Preparation
Salmon Patty
Step 1: Prepare Patty Ingredients Finely chop the onion, parsley, and garlic in a food processor and transfer to a bowl. Cut the salmon into smaller pieces and also process until finely chopped.
Step 2: Shape and Fry the Patty Mix all the ingredients and season to taste with salt and pepper. Shape the mixture into a round patty and fry it over medium heat, for 5 minutes on each side.
Horseradish Sauce Mix all the sauce ingredients together.
Cucumber Salad Finely chop the dill. Peel the cucumber using a vegetable peeler. Then drizzle it with olive oil, season with salt and dill. Mix everything well.
Presentation Slice the bread. On the bottom half, layer the horseradish sauce, mixed salad, salmon patty, cucumber salad, and sprouts. Place the top half of the bread on top.
