Fall is the time when fruit trees ripen, and preserves and desserts featuring fruits reign on our tables. One of the most eagerly prepared desserts is plum crumble pie. How to prepare this delicious pie? You’ll find out in a moment!
Ingredients
- All-purpose flour – 300 g
- Butter – 125 g
- Sugar – 60 g
- Water – 15 ml
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Salt – 2.5 g PLUMS
- Plums – 500 g
- Sugar – 60 g
Preparation
In a large bowl, add the flour, sugar, and salt, and mix. After a while, add the diced cold butter and crumble it with your fingers until it forms a crumbly consistency. Add the eggs and cold water to the mixture, then mix. The mixture should become sticky.
On a floured surface, place the dough and shape it into a disk. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Wash the plums, then cut them in half and remove the pits.
In a bowl, mix the plums with sugar and let sit for 15 minutes to dissolve the sugar. Remove the dough from the refrigerator, then roll it out into a 30 cm diameter circle and place it in a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Arrange the plums in the center of the dough, leaving the edges free.
Gently fold the edges inward, creating a decorative “rim” around the plums. Place the pie dish in the oven and bake for 35 minutes, until the crust turns golden brown. After the designated time, remove the pie from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving it to guests.
