Pad Thai

Pad Thai is a popular Thai dish that delights with its flavour and aroma. This classic blend of flavors and textures makes it the perfect dish for lovers of Asian cuisine. The ingredients are simple to find, and the preparation process is quick and easy.


  • 200g rice noodles
  • 200g bean sprouts
  • 200g shrimp or tofu
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tamarind paste
  • 2 tablespoons palm sugar
  • 1 lime
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • chopped cilantro and peanuts for serving

Method of preparation:

Cook the rice noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Heat sesame oil in a large frying-pan, add chopped onion and garlic. Sauté for a few minutes. Add shrimp or tofu and cook until lightly browned.

Crack eggs into the frying-pan and scramble until cooked and crumbled. Add cooked rice noodles and bean sprouts. Mix until all ingredients are combined. Add soy sauce, tamarind paste, palm sugar, and lime juice. Stir well.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve sprinkled with chopped cilantro and peanuts.
