Whisky Sour

Whisky Sour

The key to the flavor is the sweet and sour balance, which should be adjusted accordingly to the type of alcohol used. Sugar syrup is responsible for sweetness, while lemon or lime juice, or a combination of both, adds acidity.

  • Whisky, 40 ml
  • Lemon Juice, 20 ml
  • Simple Syrup, 10 ml
  • Egg White, 1 pc

It is very popular to add egg white and a few drops of Angostura Bitters. In this case, the cocktail should be shaken very vigorously to properly froth the egg white. For this purpose, the technique called “dry shake” is often used in making Whisky Sour. This method involves shaking all the ingredients without ice first, and then shaking again with ice. This method allows you to achieve a very nicely looking Whisky Sour, with a thick foam on the surface.
