Wraps with minced meat, fried together with tortilla
Ingredients
- 7 smaller tortillas or piadinas (about 20 cm in diameter)
- 500 g ground beef (round)
- 1 onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- Fresh parsley
- Salt, pepper, 1 teaspoon each of ground cumin, oregano, sweet paprika, and 1/3 teaspoon of hot paprika
- Olive oil or vegetable oil
- Iceberg lettuce
- Tomato
- Red onion
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons spicy ketchup
- Optional: pickled jalapeno peppers
Preparation
- Place the ground meat in a bowl, add finely chopped onion, garlic pressed through a garlic press, 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley, all the spices, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil or oil. Mix thoroughly by hand.
- Prepare the vegetables: wash, dry, and chop the iceberg lettuce. Slice the tomato and thinly slice the peeled red onion.
- Mix the mayonnaise with the ketchup (and for those who want, add 1 tablespoon of chopped jalapeno peppers).
- Divide the meat mixture into 7 parts and form balls.
- Place a meatball on a tortilla and flatten it, then use your fingers to spread the meat evenly over the entire surface of the tortilla.
- Heat a skillet, add some olive oil or oil. Place the tortilla meat-side down and cook for about 3 minutes. Flip it over briefly to warm and lightly brown the other side.
- Remove to a plate, place the iceberg lettuce, parsley leaves, tomato, and red onion in the center of the meat. Fold in half and serve with the sauce.
Enjoy your tortillo-burgers!
