Chips
- Beet – 4 pcs
- Canola oil – 2 tbsp
Dip
- Lemon – 1 pc
- Red beans – 200 g
- Garlic clove – 1 pc
- Pumpkin seed oil – 10 ml
- White pepper – 1 pinch
- Salt – 1 pinch
Additional
- Ground hot paprika – 0.5 tsp
- Salt – 1 pinch
Preparation
Step 1: Preparing the Chips Peel the beets and slice them thinly, preferably using a vegetable peeler or a thin slicer. Arrange the slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with canola oil. Bake the chips in an oven preheated to 120°C for about 80 minutes until dried.
Step 2: Blending the Dip Cook the beans according to the instructions on the package. Chop the garlic. Blend the beans with a small amount of cooking water until smooth and uniform. Add the chopped garlic, lemon juice, season with salt and pepper. Finally, add the pumpkin seed oil and blend everything thoroughly.
Step 3: Seasoning the Chips Before serving, sprinkle the chips with salt and hot paprika, and serve with the bean dip.
