Simple joker ramen with bacon

Joker ramen

Prepare a Joker ramen straight from Japan. Add a touch of bacon to delight every palate, even the most discerning.

Ingredients

  • Chicken broth: 1 liter
  • Smoked bacon: 100 g
  • Garlic cloves: 2 pieces
  • Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar: 1 tablespoon
  • Mild miso paste: 30 g
  • Spring onion: 1 bunch
  • Pickled pink ginger: 40 g
  • Eggs: 2 pieces
  • Ramen noodles: 100 g

Preparation

Cook the eggs to your liking, though semi-soft-boiled eggs are most delicious. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions.

Slice the bacon into strips and fry in a wok for a few minutes until golden brown on each side. Then remove it from the pan and set it aside for later.

Finely chop the garlic and sauté it in the fat rendered from the bacon in the wok, being careful not to burn it. Then add the miso paste, vinegar, soy sauce, and sauté for a while, stirring constantly.

Pour the broth into the sautéed spices in the wok and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. Towards the end of cooking, add finely chopped spring onion.

Transfer the cooked noodles to bowls, top with the bacon. Pour the hot broth over it all. Garnish each bowl with pickled ginger and a halved boiled egg.
