Sardine Sandwich

Sardine Sandwich

Make a spread from sardines and butter, and spread it on slices of rye bread. Sprinkle with chives. Serve with soft-boiled eggs or slices of hard-boiled egg placed directly on the spread. I recommend it. A quick and tasty breakfast set.


  • Soft-boiled eggs: 4
  • Canned sardines in oil: 1 can
  • Soft butter: 60 g
  • Chives, finely chopped
  • Freshly ground black pepper, sea salt


Mash the sardines with a fork, add the soft butter, and mix together. Spread the sardine paste on slices of rye bread, sprinkle with chives, pepper, and optionally salt to taste.

Serve with soft-boiled eggs (4 minutes in boiling water) or hard-boiled eggs (8 minutes in boiling water), sliced, and placed on the sandwiches spread with sardine paste.
