Ingredients
Dough
- Sugar – 0.5 teaspoon
- Fresh yeast – 30 g
- Water – 250 ml
- Wheat flour – 500 g
- Milk – 80 ml
- Olive oil – 4 tablespoons
- Salt – a pinch
Onion Filling:
- Eggs – 3 pieces
- White onions – 5 pieces
- Red onions – 5 pieces
- Cooked bacon – 150 g
- Spring onion – 1 piece
- Whole cumin – a pinch
- Fresh dill – 12.5 g
- Sour cream (18%) – 200 ml
- Black pepper – a pinch
- Salt – a pinch
- Gouda cheese – 50 g
Preparation
Dough
- Gently heat the milk. Dissolve yeast with sugar, mix with warmed milk, and set aside for several minutes until bubbles appear (the yeast starts to work).
- Sift flour with salt onto the work surface. Make a well and vigorously pour the yeast mixture into it. Gradually knead the dough, adding olive oil and water. Leave in a warm place for about 1.5 hours until the dough doubles in volume.
Onion Filling
- Slice the onions into rings, sauté in oil until translucent. Dice the bacon and fry until golden brown. Mix the onions with bacon and set aside in a bowl to cool.
- Beat 3 eggs. Grate the yellow cheese.
- Add sour cream, beaten eggs, grated cheese, and spices to the onion and bacon mixture, mix well.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and sprinkle with flour. Gently roll out the dough and transfer it to the baking tray. Leave for 15 minutes to rise. Spread the onion mixture evenly over the dough and sprinkle with chopped spring onion. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30-35 minutes.
