Mediterranean salad with cheese

A delicious proposition for fans of Mediterranean cuisine and light eating enthusiasts – a colorful salad!


  • Red onion – 1
  • Black olives – 45 g
  • Black pepper – a pinch
  • Cucumber – 1
  • Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Cherry tomatoes – 100 g
  • Iceberg lettuce – 0.5 head
  • Feta cheese – 100 g
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Herbes de Provence – 1 teaspoon
  • Italian bread – 80 g


Dice the bread, transfer it to a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and mix well. Then, toss it onto a heated, dry pan and shake the pan occasionally, sauté until the bread is lightly golden. Remove the pan from the heat.

Wash the lettuce, dry it, and tear it into smaller pieces. Transfer it to a large bowl. Add halved olives, diced cucumber, thinly sliced onion, and quartered cherry tomatoes. Crumble the feta cheese with your fingers and add it to the salad.

Mix Herbes de Provence with 4 tablespoons of olive oil. Drizzle the salad with the prepared dressing. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Finally, add the prepared croutons.
