An irreplaceable fast food classic that often comes to the rescue.
Ingredients
- 1/4 head of young green cabbage
- Sea salt
- 2 – 3 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
- 50 ml rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon (or to taste) chili flakes (can be substituted with fresh chili pepper)
Preparation
Peel off any wilted outer leaves from the cabbage (if needed), rinse and dry. Cut off the tough core, then thinly slice the rest into strips. Place in a salad bowl, season with salt, and add the remaining ingredients: parsley, vinegar, sugar, olive oil, and chili flakes. Mix everything well and set aside.
Stuff the prepared filling into lightly split hot dog buns.
