A new idea for preparing hot dogs, where the sausage is filled with cheese and wrapped in bacon, with the addition of fried onions and pickles giving them an American character. Check out how they taste!
Ingredients
- Hot dog buns, 2 pieces
- Sausage, 2 pieces
- Smoked bacon (sliced), 50 g
- Grated mozzarella, 30 g
- Red tomato, 1 piece
- Lettuce head, 1 piece
- Pickles, 2 pieces
- Fried onions, 20 g
- Mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons
Preparation:
Cut the sausages lengthwise about halfway through to create a cavity. Then stuff them with grated mozzarella and wrap with slices of bacon.
Place the sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 10 minutes. After about 3 minutes, add the buns to the oven, preferably on a separate sheet, and bake for about 7 minutes.
Slice the tomato and pickles. Wash and dry the lettuce.
Cut the toasted buns lengthwise, being careful not to cut through them. Spread mayonnaise inside the buns, layer with lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles. Then place the baked sausages in the buns and sprinkle with fried onions.
