Herring Tartare with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Capers

A delicious snack with herring accompanied by sun-dried tomatoes and capers. It can be served on small slices of pumpernickel bread or toast.

Ingredients

  • Herring fillets 2 packages
  • Sun-dried tomatoes 0.5 jar
  • Capers 4 large tbsp
  • Red onion 2 pieces

Additional:

  • Olive oil
  • Iodized sea salt
  • Fresh parsley
  • Colored pepper
  • Pumpernickel bread, small slices
  • Capers in apple vinegar, a few pieces

Preparation

Rinse the herring fillets, chop them into pieces, and mix them in olive oil, then refrigerate. Peel and finely chop the onions, finely chop the capers and sun-dried tomatoes.

Dice the herring into small cubes, mix with the remaining ingredients, add dried parsley, salt, and pepper to taste.

It can be served on small slices of pumpernickel bread with capers in apple vinegar.
