Preparation
Step 1: Prepare the Fruits Wash and dry the fruits. Cut the plums in half, remove the pits, and cut into pieces. Core the apples and cut into pieces as well. In a pan, melt butter with sugar. Add the fruits and sauté for 2-3 minutes (the fruits should not release their juice!). Optionally, sprinkle with cinnamon after sautéing.
Step 2: Prepare the Crumble In a bowl, combine flour, cold butter cut into cubes, sugar, buckwheat flakes, oat flakes, and optionally cinnamon. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with the back of a knife, then add to the other ingredients. Knead until the mixture reaches a crumbly consistency.
Step 3: Bake the Fruits Grease a baking dish with butter, place the fruits in it, and sprinkle evenly with the crumble topping. Place in an oven preheated to 180°C. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Serve the fruits with crumble topping warm. Serve with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream.
