French Toast with Caramelized Apples

A buttery croissant in an original version. Fragrant bread and sweet fruit make for a French-style breakfast.


  • Cinnamon – 0.25 teaspoon
  • Red apple – 1 piece
  • Egg – 1 piece
  • Croissant – 2 pieces
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Honey – 1 tablespoon
  • Milk – 60 ml
  • Rapeseed oil – 2 tablespoons


Mix milk, egg, and vanilla sugar together thoroughly. Peel the apple, remove the core, and cut it into cubes. Slice the croissants.

Dip each slice in the mixture and place them on a heated pan greased with a bit of oil. Fry on both sides until golden brown.

Heat another pan, grease it with a bit of oil, and add the chopped apple. Fry for about 2 minutes, then add honey and fry for another 2 minutes until the apple is caramelized.

Serve the fried toast with the apples. Sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon.
